Replace the TSA monopoly with competing approaches to airport security

TSA is a monopoly. Their service reputation is horrible.  Security failings are frequent. Competition tends to makes things better. We would choose an airline that competed with the TSA method. Maybe you would too! But even if you would choose a TSA airline, wouldn’t TSA perform better if everyone had a choice?

Congressional letters have an impact. Offices count them. Merely 15 letters cause the office to create a response letter – now you’re on their “radar.” A Hill staffer tells us that there’s a meeting with his boss, the Representative, about “what to do with your proposal” if just 500 constituents send messages in a given month. We’ve shared the letter we wrote in the space below. You can send it or personalize it with your own words. If you get a Reply, forward it to us. It might appear in a future Downsizer-Dispatch. – By Perry Willis & Jim Babka, Monday, 7/1/18
